Who we are
We are Ellen, Hector and Luc. We operate the Psychedelic & Lifestyle center in Amsterdam. We are a professional and legal center with a physical location in Amsterdam. A special safe trip studio to optimise the important setting for the experience.
Suffering is caused by (long term "negative") thinking and diet. Lifestyle goes further than just psychedelic experience to re-balance the mind. We believe that there is no shortcut to any place worth going. Therefore, we provide coaching around mindfulness, nutrition & integrative medicine and flow.
The world is facing an unprecedented mental health crisis. Paradoxically we live in the most prosperous, peaceful and connected time in history but as humans being more isolated, depress and lost, This is a tragedy. The blind search for profit has backfired with nature and our place in it. We need a new direction, a new paradigm.
We embarked on this journey to facilitate transformational meaningful experiences and provide alleviation from suffering.
To accelerate the tipping point towards a shift in human consciousness and create a more mindful and connected world.
Putting to use the revolutionary potential of psychedelics in a professional and optimised way is our ongoing challenge. Over a lifetime, an inadequate diet can lead to (chronic) disease. With our relaxed and fun workshops, nutrition and mindfulness are more easily embraced for new healthy habits. Your new lifestyle.
Meaningful positive change
The impact is long-lasting. A Johns Hopkins study found that a majority of subjects who took psilocybin had personality changes that lasted for over a year. Almost all participants in another Hopkins psilocybin study said the experience was one of the most meaningful of their lives.
Depression and Anxiety Elimination
Depression and anxiety are very much like addictions, people are often in this ruminating pattern. You're getting stuck in loops of thought, you're getting stuck on narratives of who you are. Psychedelics quiet this narrative and connects the whole brain, freeing the patient of this mental prison.
By dissolving the ego, you may dissolve the hold of narratives on people.
Losing anxiety and fear of death
“The results showed that administering psilocybin to [terminally ill] subjects could be done safely while reducing the subjects’ anxiety and depression about their impending deaths”. “Even with this modest dose, it appears the drug can relieve the angst and fear of the dying.” (published in the Archives of General Psychiatry)
“The core feature of the mystical experience is this strong sense of the interconnectedness of all things, where there’s a rising sense of not only self-confidence and clarity, but of communal responsibility — of altruism and social justice — a felt sense of the Golden Rule: to do unto others as you would have them do unto you… Understanding the nature of these effects, and their consequences, may be key to the survival of our species.”
Psilocybin frees the brain from its rigid patterns and ego-driven assumptions, and allows the user to look at the world (and him or herself) from a whole new perspective. Many mushroom experiences also are accompanied by waves of good feelings and psychedelic visions of sound and color. New research is helping us understand how the mushrooms work their magic. A study published in the Journal of the Royal Society found that psilocybin actually changes the brain’s organizational framework and allows information to pass from section to section in new or underused neural networks, bypassing the old, well-trodden pathways.
Breaking addiction root cause
In one study by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a couple of psilocybin doses were enough to help two-thirds of smokers quit for at least a year. That's the most effective smoking cessation treatment ever study. Imagine what can it do for your alcohol, sugar, opioids, social media addition
Luc is co-founder & lead facilitator at Psychedelic insights. Luc is very grateful for a wonderful life.
His life changed dramatically after he had experienced deep personal transformation and divine revelations through plant medicines ("magic" psilocybin truffles and Ayahuasca). He also ran a private health service (de Oplaadfabriek) based upon more meditation, less medication. Luc has given more than 40 workshops in youth prisons inspiring young felons to turn their lives around and live fully and happily and gave workshops on happiness and emotional well-being.
Luc was also the founder of Safe Spaces Amsterdam. A trip-guide initiative where he facilitated over a hundred psychedelic experiences for an international clientele. He learned to guide with an open mind and open heart. Psychedelic insights became a logical next step with a great team to match to optimise the entire experience (the set and setting) for clients.
He’s a proud dad and enjoys a simple life. A father and self confessed fool, he (also) considers himself lucky, grateful and happy.
Ellen is a health scientist that is deeply inspired to contribute to people’s health as well as to creating healthy environments. She previously worked as a nutrition & health researcher for the Louis Bolk Institute, specializing in ‘Integrative Medicine’ which describes the integration of regular healthcare with complementary and traditional medicine techniques (such as plant medicine, lifestyle, nutrition, yoga, meditation and visualization). She graduated in her masters on the concepts of ‘integrative medicine’, ‘holistic health’ and personal development, and in her bachelors on the integration of psilocybin into the regular healthcare system. While intellectually trained, she has strong intuitive and empathic abilities and it is her passion to integrate both worlds. In order to do so, she has years of experience with trainings in (self)-healing, psychology, meditation, energy-work, tantra and (psychedelic) ceremonies. This unique combination of both professional & practical experience and a warm, highly-sensitive personality, makes her a great facilitator for the Psychedelic Insights team.
Hector is a water engineer and entrepreneur, Founder and director of Synergy CT and Synergy Sayab. Hector traveled the world to make a positive impact in the areas of water technologies, circular economy and human potential, Originally from Mexico now based in Amsterdam.
The paradox that the western world has never been more abundant, peacefully and connected nevertheless never more isolated and depressed makes Hector shift gears and realize that the thirst is somewhere else. That people won't understand the value of water before finding the value in themselves.
Lifelong interest in positive psychology, consciousness, neurology and meditation converged in Psychedelics.
Now harnessing the power of Psychedelics to accelerate the tipping point of human consciousness to create a more mindful and connected world.
